Privacy policy
What we collect when you visit this site or get in touch, what we do with it, and how to reach us about it.
Effective October 13, 2026. Updated October 14, 2026.
What this covers
This policy covers protectedtrust.com and the ways you reach us through it: the letter on the site, the scheduler, and a call, text, or email to the addresses on the site. It does not cover the information we handle for clients as part of our services. That is governed by the agreement each client signs. If you are a client, that agreement and this policy both apply.
Questions about this policy go to hello@protectedtrust.com or 863-594-1141.
What we collect
What you give us. When you write to us through the site, pick a time on the scheduler, call, text, or email, we collect what you provide: your name, how to reach you, your business, and what you wrote or said. If you agree to text messages, we keep a record of that consent.
What is collected automatically. When you visit, we and the providers that run the site for us collect usage information: your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, how you move through them, and the link or campaign that brought you here.
What we add from other sources. We may add business details about you or your company from public sources and business data providers, so the person who answers you knows who they are talking to.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information through this site, and the site is not meant for anyone under 18.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and our providers may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies of four kinds: necessary (running and securing the site, remembering your choices), functional (the scheduler, embedded video, and campaign attribution), analytics (understanding how the site is used), and advertising (measuring our advertising and showing it to people who visited). Analytics and advertising providers may include Google, Microsoft, Meta, and LinkedIn, and those companies may collect information about your activity across sites over time. In the United States, all four kinds run by default, and you can turn any of them off. Where the law requires it, such as in Europe and the United Kingdom, nothing outside the necessary kind runs until you choose to allow it. You can see and change these choices at any time from Consent preferences, linked in the footer of every page. Your browser can also block or delete cookies, and allaboutcookies.org explains how.
How we use it
- To answer you, and to set up and keep the time you picked.
- To understand how people use the site and make it better, including whether our advertising works.
- To send you information about our services, if you have told us you want it. Every such email has an unsubscribe link.
- To protect the site and watch for abuse, including by IP address.
- To comply with the law.
We do not sell your information.
Text messages
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we use them for appointment and service notifications, replies to your requests, and, if you ask for them, updates about our services. Your consent to text messages is separate from anything else you do with us. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text-message consent with anyone for their marketing. Reply STOP to any message to stop, or HELP for help. You can also call 863-594-1141 or email hello@protectedtrust.com. Message and data rates may apply, and how often we message depends on what you have asked for. Agreeing to text messages is never a condition of doing business with us. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. The full terms are on our messaging terms page.
Who we share it with
The companies that run parts of the site for us: our website host, the scheduler, the system we use to keep track of clients and requests, and our analytics and advertising providers. They use what they receive only to do that work for us.
Advertising platforms receive information about your visit through their tags. Under California law this counts as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though no money changes hands. You can opt out as described under Your choices.
When the law requires it: to comply with a law or regulation, to answer a subpoena, warrant, or other lawful request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Protected Trust, our clients, or others.
If the company changes hands. If Protected Trust is part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Advertising
We may use your information to show you advertising we think is relevant, including on Google and Microsoft platforms. The Network Advertising Initiative explains how targeted advertising works. You can opt out of targeted advertising in your Google, Microsoft, and Facebook ad settings, and from many networks at once through the Digital Advertising Alliance.
Your choices
- Email. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email us.
- Text messages. Reply STOP to any message to stop, or HELP for help. The messaging terms have the rest.
- Cookies and advertising. Use Consent preferences in the footer of every page to turn the functional, analytics, and advertising kinds on or off. This is also how you tell us not to sell or share your personal information. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out of sharing for targeted advertising, and advertising stays off while it is on. We do not respond to other Do Not Track signals. Your browser can block or delete cookies, and each advertising platform offers its own ad settings, linked above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, access it, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, and opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of your information. You will not be treated differently for using these rights.
How to ask. Email hello@protectedtrust.com or call 863-594-1141. We verify your identity by matching your request to the information we hold, usually your email address. Someone you authorize may ask on your behalf with your written permission. We respond within 45 days. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our answer with "Appeal" in the subject line, and we answer appeals within 60 days.
California. We do not sell personal information for money. We may share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as described above, and you can opt out from Consent preferences in the footer, with the ad settings linked above, or with a Global Privacy Control signal. We do not collect sensitive personal information through this site.
How long we keep it, and how we protect it
We keep what you send us for as long as we need it for the purposes above, and then for as long as the law and our contracts require. We protect it with reasonable administrative and technical safeguards; no website or system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise more than that. We are based in the United States, and we and our providers process information there. If you visit from outside the United States, your information will be transferred there.
Children
This site is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. For a material change, we also post a notice on this site.
