Accessibility.
We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use this site. Here is the standard we work to, where we stand, and how to tell us when something is in your way.
Statement dated October 14, 2026. Next review by October 2027, and after any major change to the site.
Our commitment
Protected Trust wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use protectedtrust.com. We work to make the site easy to read, navigate, and use with a keyboard, a screen reader, or other assistive technology.
The standard we use
We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the W3C.
Where we stand
The site is new, built in October 2026, and is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA: some parts do not yet fully meet the standard, and we list the ones we know about below. We have not yet completed a full audit. One is planned before the end of 2026.
What we do
- Every page has one heading that names it, a skip link to the content, page landmarks, and visible keyboard focus.
- Every photograph has a text alternative that says what is in it and who, where we have their permission to name them.
- Text is real text, never a picture of text, and the site works at any zoom level and at phone width.
- Forms have labels, and the letter can be completed with a keyboard alone.
- Nothing moves, flashes, or plays on its own.
- We check every page for a single heading, text alternatives, and working links as part of every build.
Known limitations
- Orange buttons. Our brand orange is used for the buttons. White text on it measures about 3.3:1, below the 4.5:1 the standard asks for on small text. Button labels are large and bold, and every button is also reachable and readable with a keyboard and a screen reader.
- The scheduler. Picking a time opens Calendly, which we do not control. If it gets in your way, call us and we will set the time for you.
- The client map. The map of where our clients are is a picture with a description. The dots carry no information a screen reader can read, by design, since they name nobody.
- Screen reader testing. We have tested with a keyboard and automated tools, not yet with VoiceOver, NVDA, or JAWS. Automated tools find only part of what matters, so we rely on you telling us what we missed.
